Part 2: The Silent Partner
The call came at 9:47 a.m.
Daniel was sitting in his luxurious home 's' office — the same office I had helped renovate three years earlier — when his lawyer’s voice cracked through the speakerphone.
“Daniel, I don’t know how to tell you this… but according to the official records, you only own 16% of Miller & Associates. Someone else owns 84%. And that person… has just activated full control.”
Daniel laughed at first. Then the laughter died when the lawyer mentioned my name: Antonio Rossi.
He stormed out of the house and drove straight to the small café where I was staying. I was sitting by the window, reading a newspaper, when he burst through the door.
“What the hell is this, Antonio?!” he shouted, slamming his phone on the table. “You think you can steal my company? After everything I’ve done for Laura?”
