PART 2: The Hidden Rooms - News

Margaret collapsed when they showed her the photos. She couldn’t speak for almost ten minutes. When she finally did, her voice was barely a whisper:

“She was here… all this time. Right behind our house.”

Daniel, Lily’s father, stood outside the shed staring at the ground like the earth had betrayed him. Noah couldn’t stop shaking.

But the worst discovery was yet to come.

In the smallest room, behind a false wall, police found a box containing Lily’s diary, a few photos, and a silver necklace Daniel had given her for her sixteenth birthday. The diary entries stopped the day she disappeared.

The final entry read: “Grandpa said he has a surprise for me in the shed. I don’t want to go, but he promised it would make Mom happy.”

Detective Bennett closed the diary with trembling hands.

“This wasn’t a disappearance,” she said. “This was imprisonment.”
