Another put it simply, “What difference does it make where the dress came from and how much it cost.. she made the dress look like a million bucks [sic]…”
The atmosphere was the same on another Facebook post. “I love that she didn’t spend $2k on a dress…good on her 😁,” someone said.
“So much better than shower curtains and tablecloths, don’t you think?” said another internet user.
Another said, “I think it’s nice,at least she wasn’t flashing most of her body in almost naked outfits like some celebrities do [sic].” It’s Not the First Time
The Correspondents’ Dinner outfit may have garnered the most attention, but it seems to be part of a pattern Jennifer has been creating for some time. On January 25, 2025, Jennifer wore a long-
sleeved lilac outfit at Pete’s inauguration as the 29th U.S. Secretary of Defense.
Currently, a similar garment costs about $32.92 on Shein. She wore an emerald floor-length off-the-shoulder gown with vibrant designs at a state banquet in November of last year.
The same store has a comparable model for about $76.29.
Even further back, a June 2024 Instagram image featured Jennifer standing with Pete and Donald Trump while wearing a white wrap dress with blue palm leaf prints.
Shein offers a nearly identical suit for about $16.95. It’s unclear, though, if these clothes are genuinely from these kinds of shops.
In any case, she looks amazing in them. Sadly, Jennifer and her husband were unable to enjoy the evening for which they had dressed up.
