Ryan finally reached the medical station, exhausted and covered in blood.
The ship's doctor immediately began treating Emma.
Just then, Captain James Reynolds entered the room.
His face was unusually serious.
He looked directly at Ryan.
"You saved her life."
Ryan nodded, expecting thanks.
Instead, the captain said something that left everyone speechless.
"You were never supposed to know who she really is."
The room fell silent.
Emma slowly opened her eyes.
She looked at the captain...
...and whispered,
"I'm sorry."
Ryan stared at both of them, completely confused.
"What is going on?"

The captain closed the door.
"For the past eight months," he said quietly, "Emma hasn't been serving here as an ordinary sailor."
