Elliot swallowed hard.

The men looked at each other.
"What did you say?"
"I said no. Take the money and leave."
The room grew tense.
His wife looked up at him with watery eyes.
"My love..."
Elliot's heart pounded wildly.
Everything had gone wrong.
Very wrong.
One of the men grabbed Elliot's shirt.
"You think you're suddenly a hero now?"
Elliot looked at his terrified wife.
And in that moment, he realized something horrible:
